Fruit flies cause damage to fruit plants and vegetables. It has become difficult to control them using traditional methods. What is needed now is to find control methods that not only ensure the best management of fruit flies but also minimize the impact on the fruit.

What is Eco-Lever? It is a pheromone that attracts fruit flies. Pheromones are chemicals that female flies secrete from their bodies to attract male flies. It is a synthetic chemical that is many times more powerful than the naturally occurring pheromone. It is being used very successfully for fruit fly management all over the world.

Recommendations for use

Always use in a trap as shown in figure one.
Traps are easily available in the market or can be made yourself.
Use five milliliter of Ecolure for the trap.
Place the cotton inside the trap by placing it on top of the cotton with the help of a dropper (Figure 2).

Note: Don’t let it touch your clothes, otherwise the flies won’t stop chasing you.
